Make Yourself Necessary
I woke up at 1:48 the other night with something to say. I didn't argue with it. I don't push these out, I release them. So I went and sat on a bench outside City Hall and talked to the moon for thirty minutes.
Here's what came out, and it's yours now.
You're already authentic. Everybody is. Authentic is the version of you that got handed down, the name and the role people are comfortable with. That's exactly why it can't set you apart.
Specific can. Specific is what somebody could dress up as. Madonna, Prince, Basquiat. You'd know them from a costume because they left things out.
The sky was sitting in gate 6 that night. Friction. It's a gate I carry, and it left eighteen minutes after I started talking.
When the sky sits in a gate you carry, that part of you gets turned up. When it sits on the other half of one of your channels, it finishes something you can't finish alone.
Today it's sitting somewhere. I don't know whether it's on one of yours.
The house is already yours. You just need the gate code.
