Business is Whimsical

The greatest songs are sung to one person

I didn't ask for anything.

I put something true where it could be found and people walked toward it.

Writing from inside the pivot, I couldn't feel more alone. But loneliness is an illusion in the creative process. There's always a co-author, and that's who you're writing to.

Make it for an audience and the signal disperses. Make it for one person and the world feels it.

The greatest songs were written by somebody alone in a room, sung to one person. That's why we make playlists nobody else will ever hear.

Then everybody sings along.

You don't find out why you made it until you release it.

So this morning I released my first trilogy. I wrote it for you.

I got so spiritual I became materialistic

The release is the response.

P.S. I'm going to write you most mornings for a while. If that's too much you can turn the daily off and keep the rest, or leave entirely. I won't take it personally.
