The universe is not multiple choice
I used to think social media was my canvas. It's the gallery wall. The canvas is the thing you own, and before any of it becomes art, somebody has to make the work.
I became an artist two weeks ago. Eighteen years behind a camera, and it took fourteen published videos in front of it, because RAW only gives you one answer.
Photography was multiple choice. Rounds of editing, hair, makeup, which frame, all of the above. There was always one more thing to fix. RAW is yes or no. I don't publish until I'm satisfied, and satisfied doesn't negotiate.
The universe is not multiple choice. It's been handing you one answer the whole time while you kept shopping for a better one.
The visibility wound is wanting your work to be seen as perfect. Same wound, different address.
You already have an artist. They're in exile, and exile is where the unpolished things go.
So that's where we start this month. Lilith. The part of you that got sent away for being too much.
I found mine in my second house — my worth, and everything I refused to make palatable.
This October I'm optimistic I'll meet myself as I create him.
Go look at your Lilith.
P.S. I'm going to write you most mornings for a while. If that's too much you can turn the daily off and keep the rest, or leave entirely. I won't take it personally.
