An Email List is social media you own.
Build from nothing while everybody else is renting
I think I discovered the best business model in the world and I'm learning how to make it easier.
Remember when I took that writing course last year and only lasted five days? I had become obsessed with copywriting content on YouTube. That's what made me buy it. I flushed that $250 down the drain. They were teaching technique but I'm not technical. If my strategy is mechanical and business is whimsical, then why would I take a course not designed for me?
I don't do courses. I do practices.
My chart already told me I'm a natural salesman. I just needed something I believed in. A signal that flows through my system, because I would never sell something that wasn't true.
Copywriting is that truth for me. In two weeks I watched my email list go from 56 to 281 people.
Instagram dies tomorrow and your followers are gone. An algorithm decides who sees you and it changes its mind on a Tuesday. An email list is a file. You can export it, move it, take it anywhere, and nobody stands between you and the person who asked to hear from you.
I call it the Stream because I treat it like a stream of consciousness. I share what I'm learning. The people write back.
A friend asked me what I was using to automate these. Nothing. I wake up at four in the morning and write them. That's the whole system.
He was shocked, and that told me something. Nobody wants AI in their inbox. It's slop, and they can smell it in one line.
That's why 150 words works. It's the length of a thing a person actually wrote before the day started.
I am always trying to sell you something. Yourself.
But I needed a hook first. So I built it. Not something I thought people wanted. I created what I needed for myself. I call it the Cipher. A mirror designed to help me understand my own chart, and it works better with another reflection in it.
Turns out my wound sits in the seventh house. The other person's seat.
My intention turned outward.
Inner intention isn't selfish. It's what you see when you look underneath the reason you'd give out loud. That's the why beneath the why.
281 is not a big number but it's more valuable than you can imagine. Your inbox is sacred.
I publish the process along the way.
I'm not trying to watch somebody who already made it tell me how to do it. That gap is too wide. I want the steps in between.
I need somebody I can walk beside. Stride for stride. I'm doing it now, and you can do it too.
The 281 is clear. That's the story of the parallel you.
THE ADMISSION
Now let me tell you what I actually want, because everybody making videos wants it and almost nobody says it.
I want to be a YouTube star. And I want to make ten million dollars starting a copywriting business.
Not eventually. That's the plan. That's the why underneath every letter I've sent this month.
You never seen a shy rapper.
I · RAP IS JUST COPY ON A BEAT
You don't write the song. You write the hook that sells it.
I'm not writing to be a writer. I'm writing to broadcast.
I'm approaching my copywriting career like a rapper dropping his first mixtape. And I finally found my rhythm.
One drop a day. Five days a week. 150 words on average. A bar at the end.
This has become my ritual. Real rap. That's deeper than yap.
Posting every day on IG or TikTok drained me. I was trying to post to the whole world. I'd go viral here and there and feel empty by the next upload.
Your signal needs something to point to. A million ideas circling with nowhere to land creates pressure. You need a runway that you own.
Posting on social media is living in rented space. With an email list, the deed is in your name. I became my own distribution partner through copywriting, and I monetized the system as I built it.
THE MIXTAPES
Back in the day rappers sold mixtapes out the trunk. Consider this my '95 Camaro.
That's how you used to scale in hip-hop. Start small. Earn the reps. Make your way out the hood.
You can scale through writing. The email list is the most scalable thing you can build, because it isn't a product. It's a channel to your fractal. And flow needs a channel.
A cult following will be with you your whole career, because we all want somebody to root for.
I'm doing this with a rapper's mindset. That's why I call myself L10 RAW.
II · START WITH THE RAW MATERIAL
The best place to start is from nothing, because that's where I found everything.
You don't need a lot to get started. Building a Sovereignty System works best with your RAW material.
In the beginning, never ask how. How will have you searching for answers outside yourself. And buying $250 courses.
You don't need to ask why either. You already have that. Your why lives in your intuitive actions.
What do I have right now? That's the only question you need.
I started this whole system with the basics. A cellphone, an email address and the internet. We all have that.
Then I built the one thing I was missing.
So how did I find it in my chart? It showed up when I learned the skills.
Three skills. One chart.
The app developer quoted me four million dollars. IKYFL.
And it wasn't a joke he told once. He built decks. We had weekly meetings for months. He was seriously trying to sell me a four-million-dollar version of a thing I ended up building myself, out loud, on my phone.
That was the day I decided to do it myself.
You only need three skills to grow your email list.
Coding. Copywriting. Storytelling.
Two and three are the hardest. The first one is easier than you think.
III · WRITING IN CODE
I spoke the Cipher into existence. Every line of it. I never typed the code. I dictated my inner vision and watched it compile.
A whole app, built by voice, in a language I was learning as I spoke it.
Coding was a skill I was afraid of. But surrender was my strategy, not scarcity.
I wanted to be a better writer. I wanted to build something. I wanted to stop needing permission to make things.
Your reality is already written. And it's in code.
Habakkuk said write the vision and make it plain, so the one who reads it can run. I just added the mic.
A thousand words a day rebuilt my thinking until my speech got precise enough to build with. Writing is the preparation. Your voice is the destination.
This is how AI becomes Aligned Intention.
The machine works for me, not instead of me. I don't use it to write. I use it to sort.
The question was never whether it could write for you. It's what you lose when it does.
THE CLOSE
That's what's working for me. Is it true for you?
Start the list. Today. Not when you know what you're going to say. One person is enough, and the first person can be you.
The mirror's below. It's free. No gatekeeping.
It's only 281 of us. The house party just started.
