The Old Me Had to D.I.E.
Decondition. Integrate. Embody.
On the first of June I posted a video called Let Your Old Frequency D.I.E. It is the most-watched thing I have made on any of this. The description called the three moves deconstruction, integration, embodiment, and it reached for borrowed words to explain them.
Here is how I described this three months ago. Watch what I couldn't say yet.
Deconstruction was close. The word I was reaching for was decondition — you don't take yourself apart, you take off what was put on you. That one correction is the whole essay: this is a process for deconditioning off borrowed language, and the first thing it deconditions is the language I used to describe it.
Decondition Surrender September
The borrowed voice comes off first — you had your own the whole time.
Integrate Empty the Clip
What is left when the borrowed is gone is yours to reload, one round at a time.
Embody Find your storyline
You find your storyline as you create it — the words become yours in the doing.
Decondition — Surrender September
Surrender September was the first run of this. A month of putting down the voice I had been speaking in — the frames I inherited, the words that were never mine. Deconditioning is what you stop, not what you add: you remove the borrowed narrative and leave the space open.
Integrate — Empty the Clip
What is left when the borrowed is gone is yours to reload. Integrate is the middle stretch — you take what is actually yours and put it back in, one round at a time, until the space the conditioning left is filled by your own hand.
Embody — Find your storyline
You find your storyline as you create it. Embody is the phase where the words become yours in the doing — you stop rehearsing a self and start writing one, at the same hour, every day, until it is simply how you talk.
Why mine landed in September — and why yours won't
Surrender September was the first one. It doesn't have to be September and it doesn't have to be mine. You can have a Surrender Sunday. A Surrender Sweet Sixteen. A Surrender Year.
Mine landed in September for reasons that are mine — my channel, my half-birthday, my Earth gate, the equinox at my back. Yours will land somewhere else, and the reason will be yours. The process generalises; the lore does not — which is exactly why the framework is portable and the story stays true.
Fluent in yourself
Underneath all three phases is one thing: fluency in yourself. Decondition clears the borrowed language, Integrate reloads your own, Embody makes it automatic — and fluency is what it is called when you no longer have to translate your own life before you can live it.
The ten days
The process runs in ten days — three, four, three. Three to decondition, four to integrate, three to embody. The same ten days carry three depths:
| The move | The ten days |
|---|---|
| D.I.E. | the process |
| Cipher Games | ten days · free · doors written for everybody |
| Copywrite Yourself | ten days · $99 · doors written from your chart |
| 10,000 Words | ten days · the writing version |
Same three phases, same ten days, different depth. Written down like this, they stop competing.
